One of Cem Karaca's well known songs Maden Ocağı (Karaca) was licensed to photographer Koray Erkaya for a video art piece he created in the name of the miners who lost their lives May 2014 in Soma. The piece had a serious emotional effect on people who saw it at Contemporary Istanbul in November and was talked about by many.
