This year the International Confederation of Music Publishers ICMP held their annual Middle and Eastern European Music Publishers conference during the 15th & 16th of September in Prague.
As is with every year, Muzikotek was also there. During the 2 day conference a lot was discussed from various international platforms of music, as well as a wide range of ideas and thoughts shared between publishers.
There were about 40 people in total from 20 different countries discussing where the industry was going, what new things were emerging and what we must do to keep up with the ever-changing digital age.
As always, the most pressing matters were piracy, music society relations, databases and issues regarding registrations of musical works.
