Göksun Çavdar was born in 1974 in France. When he was studying in the Turkish Music department of the Istanbul State Conservatoire he was being taught by Tülay Örser.
Göksun is a member of the Atatürk Cultural Centre's Modern Folk Group and has worked with many big names such as Sezen Aksu and Candan Erçetin. He continues to work professionally in music. Apart from the Si Bemol clarinet he plays saxophone.
